JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Police in Jacksonville arrested a man after they say a fight he was involved in led to a deadly shooting Monday.
According to the Jacksonville Police Department, officers responded to a shooting just before 3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Bellevue Circle. Officers said they found Kente Williams, who had been shot.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Investigators said the suspect was identified as Kilan Brown, who they say was in a fight with Williams before the shooting. Officers said Brown ran from the scene but was later found and brought in for questioning.
Brown is facing charges of capital murder, aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault, carrying certain prohibited weapons and first-degree criminal mischief. He is being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility without bond.
