Eli Cranor wins Edgar Award

Eli Cranor, the Pope County crime fiction writer, took home an Edgar Award on Thursday. The Edgar Awards are the crime and mystery genres most prestigious awards. Cranor won Best First Novel By An American Author for “Don’t Know Tough,” his 2022 debut.

Since then, he’s already published a follow-up, “Ozark Dogs,” and has another novel scheduled for 2024.

I profiled Cranor earlier this month.
