PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – The Pulaski County coroner’s office on Thursday confirmed the death of a teen due to an incident involving fireworks.
Officials from the coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the victim as 14-year-old Christian Molden.
Later Thursday afternoon the Jacksonville Police Department released more details on Molden’s death.
Department officials said officers responded to Meadowlark Street at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and found Molden’s body on the ground.
After determining that the teen was dead, the officers called in the Criminal Investigation Division to take over the case. Detectives started their investigation, processing the scene and conducting interviews with a witness at the scene.
The statement from police went on to note that the autopsy determined Molden’s death was caused by multiple injuries from a firework and that it appeared to be accidental.
