Cross Bank of Wynne announced the hiring of Gary Edwards as vice president and CFO.
Edwards assumes the role after the retirement of the lender’s longtime CFO Beth Dildine.
In a news release, Cross Bank said Edwards is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. He was previously chief audit officer at Encore Bank of Little Rock.
“We are delighted to have Gary join our team at Cross Bank,” David Dowd, the bank’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “He will bring a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise to the role of CFO, and we are confident in his ability to lead and drive results as we continue to grow.”
Edwards holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Arkansas Tech University. He has served on the board of directors for Little Rock Junior Deputy Baseball for eight years. He previously served on the board for First Tee of Central Arkansas and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Arkansas Chapter.
