LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – It’s been nearly three months for one Little Rock family since their loved one was shot and killed.
Marquis Harper was killed on Oct. 25 in the 6500 block of Mabelvale cutoff and his family is still looking for answers.
Mary Franklin, Harper’s mother, said the family is offering a reward to anyone with any information about his death, hoping they can help answer the question of, “Who killed Marquis?”
“You took a father, you took a friend, you took an uncle,” Franklin said.
Marquis Harper was a man with many roles and now Franklin said all she has left now are pictures and memories.
“Everybody wants to know like ‘Why,’” she said. “We want to know ‘Why would you kill him?’”
At just 21 years old, Harper was planning on opening a food truck and running the business with his mom, but the dream of doing it together is now gone.
“I’m just praying for a miracle, and I want justice for my son, I’m going to get justice for my son,” Franklin said.
After months with no answers, his family is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who has information about his death.
“We don’t have any answers right now, and we’re still waiting, hoping and praying that somebody will come forward,” Franklin said.
Franklin said they know someone out there knows something and are asking them to do the right thing.
“I miss my son dearly, when they took Marquis from me, they took a part of me, but his legacy is going to live on,” Franklin said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Little Rock Police Department.
