Jacksonville police investigate Thursday morning shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Police in Jacksonville are investigating after an attempted theft left a man injured Thursday morning.

Officers with the JPD were called shortly before 9 a.m. to a theft at #1 Paradise Park Road.


Jacksonville police looking for vehicle in connection with deadly Friday hit-and-run

Upon arrival, officers said they were advised that while the property owner was confronting a suspect committing theft, they displayed a weapon and were shot. Police said the suspect fled into the wooded area after the incident.

Investigators said the property owner was transported to a local hospital for treatment and their injuries are non-life-threatening.


Jacksonville police looking for 16-year old in connection to stabbing of 4 teens

Police said that the suspect is a tall, slender-built white male with black hair and no facial hair possibly in their mid to late 20’s wearing blue coveralls.
