U.S. Marshals arrest woman in connection with Jacksonville homicide investigation

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – The Jacksonville Police Department said a woman was arrested on Thursday in a deadly shooting from earlier in the month.

JPD officials said U.S. Marshals arrested 20-year-old Lesly Yarelzy Moreno in connection with a deadly shooting that took place on Feb. 5.

On Feb. 5, police said they responded to a shots fired call at a residence in the 7000 block of South First Street. When they arrived, officers said they found 65-year-old Julio Cesar Diego-Lopez dead inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

Authorities said Thursday Moreno was arrested without incident in Pine Bluff. She is facing a charge of capital murder and a charge of aggravated robbery.

Moreno is being held at the Pulaski County County Regional Detention Facility.
