Jacksonville police investigating Monday shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Police in Jacksonville are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting.

Authorities say the shooting happened near the intersection of North Bailey Boulevard and Poplar Street, just a few blocks north of Main Street.

Officials with the Jacksonville Police Department are asking for the public to avoid the area as officers continue their investigation.


North Little Rock police make arrest in Sunday afternoon shooting

Police officials have not yet said how many people may have been injured in this shooting, nor have they said how many people may have been injured. There also was no word on a possible suspect or arrest in this case.
