Jacksonville man sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Jacksonville man was sentenced to more than 30 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography.

A Thursday release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office stated that 32-year-old Jessie Michael Collins of Jacksonville was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for distribution of child pornography. The release added that Collins pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution of child pornography on Jan. 23 after his indictment on those charges in April of 2023.

According to prosecutors, investigators found that Collins used an online chat application to talk to others about sexually abusing children and that through the app he would also receive, view and share sexually explicit photographs with other members in the chat group.

The release stated that at one point Collins told an undercover agent that he had sexually abused a 12-year-old, stating, “Lol a 12yo ever since her I’ve wanted younger I know I can’t just go pick one up as hot as that would be[.]”


Arkansas man facing more than 100 counts of child pornography

Collins was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release when he has completed his prison term.
