JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Police in Jacksonville say the suspect in a shooting last week that injured a teenager turned himself in to police over the weekend.
Officials with the Jacksonville Police Department said 28-year-old Malike Roy was identified in the June 20 late-night shooting in the 100 block of Cherry Street that left an 18-year-old hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities said investigators developed Roy as a suspect and that he turned himself in to police on Saturday.
Roy is currently being held in the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility without bond and faces charges of attempt to commit capital murder, multiple counts of committing a terroristic act, first-degree battery and multiple counts of criminal mischief.
Court records show that Roy had a preliminary video hearing Monday but no plea information was available.
