JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – The Labor Day weekend tradition continues this weekend with FestiVille in Jacksonville.
Much of Main Street in downtown Jacksonville was blocked off for the fun. There were food trucks, live bands, dozens of vendors, and a petting zoo for the kids.
Families at the event said it’s important to have community events like this.
“To bring families together so they can spend more time together because that’s pretty much the whole reason why we’re on this planet. Not to work and pay bills,” one festival attendee said.
The Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department organizes FestiVille, along with other community groups throughout the year.
