CABOT, Ark. – The superintendent of the Cabot School District provided an update Thursday regarding the investigation of a threatening note found at the school earlier this week.

The student, according to Thurman, admitted to making the threat and will “face serious school consequences, along with felony charges”.

Thurman said the student claims there was no intent to harm anyone, but that the severity of the situation demands strict legal consequences.

The superintendent said several other students may have known the individual was involved but did not provide the information to school officials or law enforcement. He said those students will also face consequences.
