CABOT, Ark. – The 51st Annual Central Arkansas Gem, Mineral and Jewelry show just wrapped up in Cabot.
Collectors from multiple states made the trip to share their love of geology.
Vendor Jason Clark of Richardson, Texas, said he was inspired to begin collecting after visiting Mount Ida, an area known for an abundance of high-quality quartz.
“I came back from that trip, and we talked about starting a business and I realized that was two things I would like to start – a business and do something I really love with crystals and gemstones,” Richardson said. “And traveling with my family showing minerals to most of Texas and Arkansas.”
The Central Arkansas Gem, Mineral and Geology Society organized the weekend event at the Veteran’s Park Event Center.
