Jacksonville police investigating after man injured in shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Police in Jacksonville are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting Wednesday.

According to the Jacksonville Police Department, officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Pike Avenue and Cross Street at 5:35 p.m. After arriving, officers said they found a man who had been shot in the stomach area.


Lonoke County deputies arrest man after altercation leads to deadly shooting

Police said he was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

Investigators said that three male juveniles were identified as suspects in the shooting. Police said the suspects left the scene on foot. The names of the suspects have not been released.
