Jacksonville police searching for suspect in Tuesday road rage shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Jacksonville police are searching for a driver they said shot a man during a road rage incident on Tuesday.

Authorities said officers responded to the 1000 block of South First Street in reference to a man having been shot during a road rage incident. When they arrived, officers said they found a man with a single gunshot wound on the hip. Police said he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Jacksonville Police Department officials describe the suspect car as a small black sedan believed to be a Ford Focus.

Police said the driver is described as a man with shoulder-length dreads and the passenger was described as wearing a black hoodie.
