CABOT, Ark. – Cabot is set open its first ALDI this month, giving residents another option for grocery shopping.
Officials said the store will open at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at 1118 West Main Street. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Cabot city officials approved the building and location in January. The approved site is 18,400 square feet with nearly 100 parking spots.
The first 100 customers will receive a gift bag of ALDI products and gift card. Shoppers will also have a chance of winning a $500 ALDI gift card, officials said.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” Rob Jeffries, O’Fallon vice president for ALDI, said. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Cabot and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
Store officials also said that ALDI will donate $1,000 to Arkansas Food Bank as part of the grand opening and work with the organization to deliver groceries to the community.
The well-known grocery chain opened its first central Arkansas location in Conway in January. Little Rock opened its location in May.
