JACKSONVILLE , Ark. – Construction to widen Interstate 57, formerly known as Highway 67/167, will cause a full closure of a portion of highway Monday night.
Officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation said that the closure will happen between the North James Street off and on-ramps from 8 p.m. Monday night until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Traffic will exit at North James Street exit 10A to the frontage road and return to the Highway at the next on-ramp to I-57.
ARDOT said that overnight lane closures will be in place the rest of the week along Interstate 57 between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard. The lane closures will be in place from 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. nightly through Sunday morning, November 24.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, and signage. Drivers are asked to be cautious when driving through the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
