LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Hogs defensive coordinator Travis Williams was among the nation’s top assistant coaches nominated for the 2024 Broyles Award.
Including Williams, 65 nominees were selected from among roughly 1,500 assistant coaches representing 131 FBS programs throughout the country.
Williams was nominated in 2023 as well, though Iowa Hawkeyes DC Phil Parker won the award.
The Broyles Award was created in 1996 in honor of former Arkansas head coach Frank Broyles’ legacy of selecting and developing quality assistant coaches during his hall-of-fame career with the Razorbacks.
A committee of former head coaches, broadcasters and a committee representing the Football Writers Association of America will select 15 semi-finalists, five finalists from the list of nominees and then an overall winner.
The full list of nominees can be found at BroylesAward.com.
