LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – On Sunday, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angeles and will feature nominated artists like Beyoncé, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem and Metallica.
Here are a few musicians with ties to the Natural State that have won the prestigious award throughout its history.
Johnny Cash

The Arkansan with the most Grammy awards is Johnny Cash with 13 wins and 35 nominations throughout his career. He has won awards like Best Country Album and Best Short Form Video, he was also awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999 and has songs inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame including “I Walk the Line”, “Ring Of Fire” and “Folsom Prison Blues”.
Al Green

Legendary singer Al Green from Forrest City also has double digit Grammy wins in his illustrious career taking home 11 awards and 21 nominations. He has won the Best Soul Gospel Performance, Male category multiple times and his songs “Let’s Stay Together” and “Take Me to the River” have been inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Glen Campbell

Country icon Glen Campbell won six Grammys in his career including four in 1967, Album of the Year in 1968 and Best Country Song in 2014 with “I’m Not Gonna Miss You”. Campbell also received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and three of his songs have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Evanescence

Little Rock hard rock group Evanescence has been nominated for seven Grammys in their career and even took home two in 2004 including Best Hard Rock Performance and Best New Artist. While the band was on stage accepting the Best New Artist Award, fellow nominee 50 Cent walked across the stage seemingly in protest after being expected by many to take home the award.
