National nonprofit joins search for missing & pregnant Wisconsin teen believed to be with Arkansas man, offering $5,000 reward

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One national nonprofit organization is joining the search for a missing and pregnant Wisconsin teen who is at the center of an AMBER Alert and is believed to be with an Arkansas man.

The One in Five Foundation for Kids launched a multi-state search for 16-year-old Sophia Franklin and 40-year-old Gary Day, the man who is accused of abducting her. The organization is offering a $5,000 reward for information related to the teen.

Authorities said Franklin is three months pregnant and Day is believed to be the child’s father. Reports online say that Day is accused of traveling to Wisconsin to abduct Franklin. The pair were believed to be headed to Lonoke County in Arkansas.

Authorities said Franklin was last seen at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, around 9 p.m. on Feb. 2. Authorities said Day was last seen at her home around 7:48 p.m. on Feb. 3. There is a no contact order for Franklin and Day.

It is alleged that Franklin met him after communicating online. He is facing two counts in Wisconsin of child enticement and two counts of abduction of a child.


AMBER Alert suspect from Arkansas facing Wisconsin charges, teen still missing

An AMBER Alert has been issued in Wisconsin and Arkansas.

Franklin and Day have not been found. Franklin is a white girl, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 186 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Day is a white man, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds with blonde, balding hair and green eyes.


Arkansas State Police issue AMBER alert for missing Wisconsin teen believed to be with Arkansas man

Authorities said they were last seen traveling in a black 2014 Buick LaCrosse with Pennsylvania license plate number KGW5186. Authorities said the car’s license plates may have been switched from a Arkansas license plate.
