The Army Corps of Engineers’ Memphis district announced that water levels in the White River near Des Arc had increased enough for it to activate the first phase of its floodfighting activities, but water levels are not anticipated to rise enough to cause widespread impacts, a forecaster with the National Weather Service said.  Read More
