JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Authorities in Jacksonville are investigating after an explosion at the ammunition manufacturing company Sig Sauer Thursday morning.
Officials with the Jacksonville Police Department said there were no injuries or deaths at facility. Investigators have not released the cause of the explosion.
Everyone is asked to avoid the areas of Swift Drive and Marshall Road, General Samuels Road and Commerce Road.
In 2023, company officials announced an expansion to the Jacksonville facility, creating more than 600 jobs over the next five years.
The investigation into the explosion has been turned over to the Jacksonville Fire Department.
